The Pie Filling I mixed in some cranberries for a little extra flavor. 3 pounds of crisp cooking apples such as Macintosh or Cortland Peel, core and slice the apples. Mix all the ingredients and toss together, except for the butter. Arrange in a 9 inch pie plate lined with pie crust. Dab the butter on top. Cover with top pie crust. Bake in a pre-heated 425oF oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350oF and bake for an additional 50 minutes. |
